Mitsubishi uni Kuru Toga Advance Upgrade Mechanical Pencil – White, 0.5 mm

Most mechanical pencils share a problem that is easy to overlook until you notice it: as the lead wears down on one side during writing, it forms a slanted, asymmetrical tip that produces an inconsistent line — thicker on one stroke, thinner on the next. The Kuru Toga solves this with a spring-loaded rotation mechanism that incrementally twists the lead every time you lift the pencil from the page, wearing it down evenly into a consistent conical tip. The Advance Upgrade is the most refined expression of this system, fitted with the W Speed Engine that rotates the lead twice as fast as the standard Kuru Toga — once every 20 strokes rather than 40.

The grip section is precision-punched metal with a perforated pattern that provides a stable, non-slip hold without rubber padding. The sliding lead sleeve advances automatically as the lead shortens and retracts fully when the pencil is not in use, protecting it in a bag or pencil case. The white finish is clean and minimal, with a metallic-look rear barrel and metal clip.
