Teranishi Guitar Aurora Glass Dip Pen – Cosmo Black

The Teranishi Guitar Aurora is one of the most approachable glass dip pens available — and one of the most visually striking. The Cosmo Black body is made from acrylic resin with a deep, translucent black swirling pattern that catches the light with a quiet, sophisticated depth. Against the clear glass nib, the dark body creates a particularly sharp visual contrast — understated on the desk, but unmistakably considered. Because each pen is handmade individually, no two bodies come out with exactly the same swirl pattern — the pen you receive is genuinely one of a kind.

The handmade hard glass nib features spiral grooves that draw ink up by capillary action when dipped into a bottle, holding enough ink for several lines before needing to be re-dipped. It writes best when held at a slight angle, and rotating the pen a little as you write helps the ink flow more evenly and extends the writing session between dips. The nib is removable for deep cleaning and replaceable when it eventually wears down. Cleaning between inks is as simple as rinsing the nib under water and wiping it dry. The screw cap protects the nib during storage and travel, and threads onto the back of the barrel when posted to extend the writing length for a more comfortable hold.

The Aurora Glass Pen is compatible with water-based dye inks, pigment inks, and shimmer inks — making it an ideal tool for ink sampling and for using shimmering or glitter inks that would clog a conventional fountain pen.
