Tombow MONO Eraser – Small

The Tombow MONO eraser has been a fixture on desks in Japan since 1969, introduced alongside the MONO 100 pencil as its natural companion. More than five decades later it remains one of the most widely respected erasers available — not because it reinvented anything, but because it does its job with quiet consistency. The soft PVC compound erases cleanly and gently, lifting graphite without excessive pressure and without abrading the paper surface. The dust it produces is minimal and easy to brush away.

The PE-01A is the small size — compact enough to keep close at hand without taking up much real estate on the desk or in a pencil case, and easy to use with precision on smaller areas of text or sketch work. The sleeve is made from recycled paper and is cut with left-out edges at the base so it does not dig into the eraser body under pressure during use — a small detail that reflects the considered design behind what looks like a straightforward product. The sleeve also keeps the eraser clean and protected when not in use, which matters given that the eraser material can pick up surface grime easily.

The formula is phthalate-free and latex-free, and the sleeve is produced from over 50% recycled paper in compliance with Green Purchasing Law standards.
