Tombow MONO Natural Eraser

The MONO Natural is a different kind of eraser — one that earns its place on the desk not just through performance, but through what it is made from. Tombow has incorporated scallop shell powder as a biomass filler into the eraser compound, accounting for over 10% of the eraser's weight. The scallop shell material functions as a mild abrasive that helps keep the erasing surface fresh and clean during use, continuously exposing new compound as the eraser wears. The result is an eraser that maintains consistent performance from first use to last, rather than becoming less effective as the surface picks up graphite residue.

The erasing capability matches the standard MONO at 95% or higher by JIS standard — the same light-pressure, low-abrasion performance the MONO name is associated with, now in a formula that replaces petroleum-derived materials with biological ones wherever possible. The warm, off-white body colour is the natural shade of the scallop shell raw material rather than a dye — an honest reflection of what is inside. The eraser has been certified with Japan's Biomass Mark by the Japan Organic Resources Association.

The sleeve is made from recycled paper and should be kept on the eraser when not in use to prevent the compound from reacting with painted surfaces or certain plastics. Phthalate-free.
